| ‘Rusty’ batteries could hold key to Minnesota's carbon-free power future. Two Minnesota utilities plan to install iron-air battery storage systems as they transition to clean energy sources. The batteries are made of iron, an element that’s abundant around the world — including in Minnesota. Vital public space: Minneapolis artist-architect team wins national award. “Not to sound sort of hokey, but this award, in a way, is an acknowledgement of the kind of expanded set of authorship that's beginning to exist around a set of concerns,” Carruthers says. Attorney: FBI probing woman's abuse allegation against Ramsey County jail. Attorneys for Miri Monique Mozuch-Stafford say federal agents are investigating the 2021 incident in which her leg was broken and allegedly not treated for hours. Ramsey County, in a court filing, has denied wrongdoing in the case. Man convicted in 2021 St. Paul bar shootout. Marquisha Wiley, a 27-year-old bystander from St. Paul, was killed, and at least 15 others including were wounded.
