On the 19th floor of Mayo Clinic's Gonda building, tiny pearls of brain tissue are being grown in a lab. These so-called “mini brains” may help deepen the science of addiction.
“It’s a national crisis. So many people die from opioid overdose,” researcher Ming-Fen Ho said. “When we started this study, the idea was of how we better treat those patients.” | |

School community mourns death of 15-year-old Harding High student. Students and staff at Harding High School in St. Paul are grieving the loss of Devin Scott, who police say was stabbed to death by another student at the school on Friday.
