| | | $22.6m upgrade a travel boost for Cockburn Central Hammond Road in Success has undergone a significant transformation, making it quicker and easier to travel to and from Cockburn Central. The 1.7km stretch between Branch Circus and Bartram Road now boasts two lanes in both directions, new roundabouts at three intersections, and new footpaths. We utilised 13,500 tonnes of crushed recycled concrete, spanning an impressive 30,000 m² area across the entire project. This innovative use of recycled materials is one of Perth's largest examples of sustainable road construction by a local council. The project's funding was a joint effort from the City, a State Government Metropolitan Regional Roads Program (MRRP) grant, the Australian Government Roads to Recovery Program, Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI) Phase 3, and developer contributions. The LRCI Program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic. |

| | Cockburn ARC is evolving! The Health Club facilities at the award-winning Cockburn ARC will undergo a major revamp over 2024-2025. The transformation will result in significant changes to the spin studio, gym, group fitness areas, and more. It's proposed that the expansion be implemented in a phased approach, ideally ensuring that all Health Club facilities remain open and accessible throughout construction to minimise any inconvenience for members. A recent report revealed that Cockburn ARC saved our community nearly $30m in healthcare costs between 2021-2023 by reducing the risk of 10 major health conditions and diseases, including mental health conditions, cardiovascular disease, and more. | Read more |

| | Caring CoSafe officers: a true community asset CoSafe officers recently came to the rescue in Beeliar, helping a frail elderly woman who had become disoriented in the early hours of the morning as she desperately tried to find her way home. The officers sheltered the woman in their car until WA Police arrived, averting a potentially large-scale search operation. Cockburn Police were able to reunite the woman with her family, and thanked the CoSafe team for its quick actions. |
