Starbucks strikes, northern Minnesotans without power

Snow showers continue on and off Friday into Friday night as our multiday storm slowly moves east. Friday will still be relatively mild but temperatures will be cooling down through the weekend. Get the latest on Updraft.

Starbucks workers start 3-day walkout at stores across Minnesota, U.S.

Today marked the beginning of its longest strike since unionization began this year. A hundred stores across the U.S., including one in St. Paul and another in St. Anthony park, joined. Here's why, from scheduling uncertainty to lack of tipping options.

Thousands remain without power across Minnesota in wake of winter storm

Minnesota utilities are now reporting more than 25,000 homes and businesses without electricity, down from 30,000 earlier today. They still say it could take days to fully restore electrical service in parts of northern Minnesota.

River William Smith, 22, of Savage, Minn., said he idolized the shooter who killed five people at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs. He was building automatic weapons to use against police and was arrested as he tried to buy grenades from an FBI informant.
