In partnership with Inglewood Unified School District and the EPA, we led a waste sorting assembly at Kelso Elementary, a continuation of our work with the school after helping them plant campus gardens in 2021. Students engaged in fun, hands-on sorting activities and participated with Kelso’s new lunchtime sorting station. Guided by Grades of Green and Kelso staff, student ambassadors helped their classmates sort lunch waste. This visit also marked the launch of our after-school sessions on “less waste, more garden space,” deepening students’ sustainability practices. |
