When the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency (ECCT) Billis passed, along with changes such as identity verification, Companies House expects to gain the power to mandate how companies file their accounts. One of these changes will see a move to software-only filing. This will make filing more quick and efficient, and improve transparency and traceability of accounts filing. This will also add value to the register and make it easier to detect fraud. As part of reforms under the ECCT Bill, we will also be streamliningthe accounts filing options available to small and micro companies. 'EDI is the golden thread that runs through everything we do.'
