Note: Due to technical difficulties, the Devotionals for November 5th and 12th were not delivered. We apologize for this, and below are both weeks of devotions.

November 5th:

Monday

Proverbs 27:11

My child, how happy I will be if you turn out to be wise! Then I will be able ro answer my critics.

Tuesday

Proverbs 27:12

A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

Wednesday

Proverbs 27:13

I am sure to get collateral from anyone who guarantees the debt of a stranger. I get a deposit if someone guarantees the debt of an adulterous woman.

Thursday

Proverbs 27:14

If I shout a pleasant greeting to my neighbor too early in the morning, it will be counted as a curse!

Friday

Proverbs 27:15, 16

A nagging wife is as annoying as constant dripping on a rainy day. Trying to stop her complaints is like trying to stop the wind or hold something with greased hands.

Zingers:

Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers

3251. Authority makes some people grow--others just sweat.

3252. Think of what others ought to be like; then start being like that yourself.

3253. We are moving forward at twice the speed of sound and half the speed of sense.

3254. Only fools and dead men don’t change their minds. Fools won’t--dead men can’t.

3255. If men grew physically at the rate they grow spiritually, many of them would spend their lives in a playpen.

November 12th:

Monday

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.

Tuesday

Proverbs 27:18

Workers who tend a fig tree are allowed to eat its fruit. In the same way, workers who protect their employer’s interests will be rewarded.

Wednesday

Proverbs 27:19

As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the person.

Thursday

Proverbs 27:20

Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied.

Friday

Proverbs 27:21

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised.

ZINGERS

3256. A good test of maturity is the amount of danger you feel when you meet up with a new idea.

3257. The man who says he is just as good as half the folks in the church seldom specifies which half.

3258. Remember that “average” is simply the best of the poorest and the poorest of the best.

3259. When you are just average, you are just as near the bottom as you are the top.

3260. Beware of living casually instead of contagiously.

In 1978, Zig Ziglar christened his new office building (at the corners of Alpha and Omega) by establishing the Monday Morning Devotional. He invited his staff, his family, his friends and associates to attend as often as they wished. Many non-staff quickly became “regulars,” and all made contributions to the success of the event.

YOU are invited and welcome to attend the Ziglar Monday Morning Devotions.
