| Next on Your NSTA Calendar: Grants for Your Garden | Apply for the National Gardening Association's Youth Garden Grant to receive award packages including plants, gardening supplies, and Kids Gardening curriculum (deadline December 15). University of Minnesota Schoolyard Ecology Explorations Garden Grants provide up to $1,000 to purchase plants, gardening equipment, curriculum, staff development, and other items that foster connections between students and nature (deadline December 16). And the Fruit Tree 101 Program brings fruit-tree orchards to schoolyards so students can improve air and water quality while creating a source of tasty snacks (rolling deadline).
