They have to edit out the 40 minutes of dead, blank screen before an event starts for the archive. They have algorithms for everything, figure this out. And more: After years of decline and derision from the tech community, live video is now experiencing a resurgence led by these very same critics. Though this reversal doesn't surprise traditional network executives, it's important to understand how it has changed and why.
