We’re inviting you to move more for CANSA at the Discovery 947 Ride Joburg and help to support cancer patients, caregivers and loved ones in the process! Whatever your move, there’s a race you can join to be a part of Joburg’s most iconic cycle event: Up for a challenge? Take on the Discovery 947 Ride Joburg Back by popular demand, you’ll get to ride last year’s flipped route that spans approximately 94.7 km of thrilling Joburg terrain. This epic cycle race takes place on Sunday, 17 November and starts at Riversands Commercial Park. Try the Discovery 947 Vitality Short Ride Know anyone who’s keen to join the fun, but on a smaller scale? This year, Discovery is opening the event up with a new, shorter route of 40 km – so more people of all levels of skill and fitness can now be a part of this epic Joburg event! The route offers more people the chance to own Joburg at their own pace. Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to enter and experience the joy of cycling through vehicle-free city streets. Hit the dirt with the Discovery 947 Ride Joburg MTB Ride Tame the wilder side of Joburg on Saturday 9 November or Sunday 10 November! Choose your adventure with exciting 10km, 25km or 55km mountain bike routes from Steyn City, the stunning new home of the Discovery 947 Ride Joburg MTB Ride. Entries close: 4 October MTB FAQ's Enter the 10km MTB Ride Joburg 9 November Enter 25 or 55km MTB Ride Joburg 10 November Foster a love for active play with the Discovery 947 Ride Joburg Kids Ride Even barely-off-training-wheels beginners are welcome at the Kids Ride, set for Saturday 9 November. The ride offers a variety of closed-off routes within Steyn City for age groups 2 to 10. The routes are safe and tailored to all skill levels – making it a great opportunity to include younger kids in an active adventure and instil an early love for outdoor sports.
