New NSTA Infographic Explores How Today's Students Learn Science

NSTA has released its newest infographic on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). How Today's Students Learn Science is presented in a fun, comic-book style and showcases science and engineering practices in action. The infographic is the second in a series on the NGSS and is available now on the NGSS@NSTA Hub.

NSTA Teachers Awards: Apply Now

Apply now for NSTA's 2016–2017 teacher awards, which recognize exceptional and innovative science educators. NSTA Awards and Recognitions comprise more than a dozen awards, recognizing educators in varied science fields and at every career level. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time;December 15, 2016, via online submission, with the exception of the Shell Science Teaching Award, for which applications must be completed by January 6, 2017. No entry fees are required for NSTA Teacher Awards.

Training Camp: Strengthening Fundamentals in Elementary Education In Columbus, Ohio, December 1-3

This Friday Is the Deadline for the Northrop Grumman Foundation Teachers Academy

Applications for the second annual Northrop Grumman Foundation Teachers Academy are due this Friday, November 18. The program—designed specifically for middle school teachers (grades 5–8)—was established to help enhance teacher confidence and classroom excellence in STEM while increasing teacher understanding about the skills needed for a scientifically literate workforce. This year, the Academy will support 25 teachers located in school districts in select Northrop Grumman communities. Learn more about the Academy here.
