More than two-thirds reported their typical school budget was less than $500. Thirty-four percent said they expected to spend between $100 and $300 out of their own pockets; 27% expected to spend between $300 and $500; and another 27% reported they would spend more than $500. The courses are all part of MSU Extended University's National Teachers Enhancement Network (NTEN), which has reached more than 24,000 science teachers in its 22-year history.
