| Black Widow, Delayed Another 2 Months, Will Debut Simultaneously in Theaters and Disney+ | | Long after an initially planned release date of May 2020, Black Widow, the highly anticipated Marvel-universe film starring Scarlett Johansson, has been moved back yet again, this time to July 9, 2021. The move demonstrates that film studios still plan to rely on streaming services for big releases, even as the pandemic looks to be winding down. And it’s not the only Disney film you can expect to debut on the platform in coming months—one as a premium title, and the other free to subscribers.
