BY VICKI FERSTEL | Staff writer Are you ready for Wednesday? That's when you'll need a REAL-ID driver's license or identification card to board an airplane for a domestic flight. REAL IDs are licenses or identification cards that meet federal security standards. The standards were adopted in 2005, but as of May 1, only 30% of those with IDs in Louisiana had obtained a state-issued REAL ID. Louisiana singer John Foster moved into the top 7 of "American Idol" after Monday night's vote. I've been listening to him since I came out of the womb, literally," Foster said before performing Strait's "Cross My Heart." Staff writer Judy Bergeron has the details.
