| | People are Eating Less Meat and Doing More Home Cooking | There are two themes that Treehugger has droned on about forever: eating less meat, and cooking at home. These are both now trending thanks to the coronavirus. People have no choice but to cook and in fact, many are enjoying it, buying cookbooks and learning new skills. They are eating less meat (it's expensive and needs refrigeration) and experimenting more. My favorite statistic: tofu sales are up 88%. I wonder how much if this will stick after we reach the other side. I am hopeful. | |
