By Bob Warren Flotilla fees: There’s a big change coming to Bayou Boogaloo. For the first time, the Mid-City festival plans to charge admission to those who paddle or float up along Bayou St. John. If you’ve seen photos of the bayou from previous fests, you know just how many people like to float in. Doug MacCash has the details here. Deputy shooting: The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting involving one of its own. The agency said this morning that a man carrying a “cutter mattock,” better known as a grub axe, was fatally shot after charging at deputies last night in Terrytown. This is a developing story.
